What a surprise! Ajate is joining forces with Chosan for a real local festival in his hometown of Kitanishinjuku! Between live performances, Ajate members will be playing traditional festival music along with the mikoshi (portable shrine) procession. This year is a special combined procession that only happens once every four years! Due to COVID, it’s the first one in nine years! A must-see event!

Chosan is part of the festival organization at Yoroijinja Shrine in Kitanishinjuku, and a member of “Tomoe-ko Mutsumi,” which has a 116-year history. His family has been part of the organization for three generations. Currently, he holds the role of “Souchou” and is involved in organizing annual festival events.
